BanquetRoom.com's directory includes hotels, private banquet halls, historic mansions, country club, and any other place to host a wedding or special event. Whether it's a wedding, anniversary, or a private party, you will spend months planning this event to make it perfect so you want to be careful to select a banquet hall that fits your budget, amount of guest and quality of food and service.
Choosing a reception hall is the first and most important job that you will have as a host for your event. The job of choosing a hall is challenging because most banquet facilities only have one room to book and the date they have available may not always coincide with the date you need for your event. If you are choosing a hotel, they will take care of everything for you. They will also be able to accommodate your out of town guest.
If you are looking for a hall that just provides use of the facility, keep in mind you will have to hire an event caterer to provide the food and linens. The size of the hall should be your next concern. A hall that is too large may not be cost effective for your budget. A hall that is too small may not be comfortable for your guests or easy for your caterers to serve. There are times when hall managers will overestimate the capacity of seating to keep your business. If you are not sure check with your caterer. .
Remember
you will not be able to please everyone. If your ceremony
is at a different place you must consider how your guests
will get to the hall. Is it convenient to a hotel for your
out of town guest?
Before
you sign the bottom line, check and see that there is a
kitchen available for your use. At times there is a fee
for the use of a kitchen in a hall. Remember if your
caterer needs to rent an oven or other equipment the
charges will most likely be passed on to you. Things
to look for when selecting a Banquet Room:
* Tables
and chairs: Check size of tables, A lot halls do not have
linens so you will need the table size when asked by
rental company or caterer.
*
Parking:
Is it adequate for the amount of guest you will have and
does it have sufficient lighting or security.
* Alcohol:
Does the hall provide the alcohol or require you to
purchase liquor from them.
* Facilities:
Check the bathrooms, are they clean. Will they be
inspected before your party to make sure there are
adequate supplies.
* Staff:
Will the hall staff be appropriately dressed for your
event and what is the quality of their service. Ask for
